Transformation!

What an ugly duckling before!

In between cutting and painting the backsplash for the kitchen remodel, (which should be my next post), I decided to paint the $3 gossip bench I purchased at the Jordan Oaks neighborhood sale recently. I really like how it turned out, using the Valspar Antique White and then sanding back the edges just a touch...

What do you think? Looks like a totally different piece, I think.

And here's a picture of the kitchen, just so you know I'm making progress. See how the microwave is gone, and all the old backsplash is torn out? I have the beadboard partially cut and painted, and Tuesday night we'll do the rest of the install, fingers crossed!

I love the little thrift store lamp I purchased for under the cabinets. It even has a little framed front to insert a photo or decoration. It still had the tags on it, and was $8 including the shade.

I just love your little bench. It looks perfect there, and is so useful too. The way you added the basket and all is great. Cute as can be. Now I want to have one :)
